The Challenge
Princess Tours operates hotels and lodges in Princess Cruises ports of call
in Alaska. At the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge, Princess decided to
deploy a CISCO Call Manager. They needed a simple to use, affordable
solution for guest messaging, wake-up services and interface to the Execu/Tech
PMS used at all of their properties.

The Solution
DuVoice provided DV2000 hospitality software on a Windows server with
RAID drives and redundant power supplies. DuVoice integrates with the
Cisco system through SIP ports and an IP XML interface for PMS check-in /
check-out and room move information. The DuVoice system provides
guest messaging and wake-up calls. Guest administration is handled
through the PMS and the DuVoice INN-DESK web enabled portal. Unified
messaging on staff mailboxes enables staff to receive their voice mail messages
on their PDA or PC.

The Result
Other hospitality solutions available for integration with the CISCO switch
were costly and overly complex for this application. Using DuVoice, Princess
deployed an affordable, easy to use, appropriate hospitality solution.
As an added advantage, Princess was able to use a proven system as DuVoice
is in use at a half dozen other Princess Lodges in Alaska on several
different PBXs, and on several Princess Cruises ships.
