The DV2000/DV4 can perform certain global maintenance tasks on a daily basis.  Use this option to set the time at which these tasks will be performed as well as to configure any other settings that may be used to control how a given task is performed.  To open the Maintenance configuration dialog, select Configuration | Maintenance from the main menu.

There are two maintenance settings, as shown in the following table:

Setting

Description

Start

Set the time of date to start maintenance.

In general, it is best to schedule maintenance for a time when the system is unlikely to be busy taking calls, making wakeup calls, and so forth.

The default setting is 11:00 PM.

Retention (Days)

Set the number of days to keep report data.

Any report data more than this many days old will be purged from the system during maintenance.

The default setting is 14 days.
