DV2000/DV4 connects to the ShoreTel switch using a TCP/IP network connection.  There are two required configuration settings:  the server name or IP address for the ShoreTel PBX system and the port number to used when establishing the connection.  Enter each setting in the appropriate box, as shown in the figure below.

Settings include:

 

Setting

Description

Name or IP address

Enter the server name or IP address assigned to the ShoreTel PBX.

Enabled

Check this box to enable the connection with the ShoreTel PBX.

TCP/IP Port

Enter the port number used to establish a connection with the ShoreTel PBX.

Interval (seconds)

Enter the number of seconds to wait after sending a change request before sending another request.

 

Requests generated during a wait interval will be queued and all sent together at the end of the interval.  The default value is 90 seconds.

Retries

Enter the number of times to retry sending a failed change request.

 

The default value is 3, meaning there will be a total of 4 attempts at most.  If all attempts fail, the request will be discarded.
