The Room Status Interface (RSI) can generate a report showing entries made by the housekeeping staff, in both printable and comma-separated value (CSV) formats.

When you select Run Report on the main Inventory page, InnDesk will display the report generation page as shown below:

Printable Report

To generate a printable room status report, configure the following settings for the Room/User Report in the Printable Reports section, as shown in the figure above.

Setting

Description

Start Date, Stop Date

Set the first and last days that define the time period to be covered in the report.

Room

Enter the room number for which to generate a report.

This is optional; if left blank, the report will include data for all rooms.

User

Enter the user ID for the staff member whose entries will be included in the report.

This is optional; if left blank, the report will include data for all users.

Sort Ascending

Check this box if you want the report to be ordered by date with the oldest entry listed first.  Otherwise, it will be ordered in descending order, with the newest entry listed first.

After making your configuration selections, click the Ok button to generate the report.

The figure below shows an example printable report, with all optional fields left blank and the Sort Ascending option disabled.  This is only a sample report, containing just a few entries to show how the report is formatted.

Click the Print this Page button to invoke the Print dialog, from which you can send the report to your printer (if you have one configured).  Click Close to return to the Run Report page.

CSV Report

The CSV report supports the same options as the printable report, as highlighted in the figure below:

Configure the options as described in the Printable Report section above.

Click the Ok button to generate the report.  It will have the same data as the printable report but instead of generating a printable web page it will create and download a comma-separated value (CSV) file using the download mechanism built into your web browser.

Where the file is saved on your hard drive depends on your browser, but the browser should tell you the filename that was downloaded and give you the option of opening the folder where the file is located.
