This connection is used for passing name information to the PBX and for changing user group restrictions for guest phones.  The figure below shows the required configuration settings.

Settings include:

 

Setting

Description

Location

Select the location whose settings you want to review or edit.

 

Each location has its own settings and therefore can be connected to a different switch.  If you have multiple locations connected to the same PBX, you will need to replicate the configuration for each location.

Enabled

Check this box to enable the connection for the selected location.  To disable the connection, uncheck the box.

IP Address

Enter the IP address assigned to the IP Office associated with the selected location.

Service User Name

Enter the user name required to login to the IP Office associated with the selected location.

Server Password

Enter the password required to login to the IP Office associated with the selected location.

TCP/IP Port

Port number used to connect to the IP Office.

 

This number should not changed unless you are required to do so by Avaya.

Retries

Number of times to retry sending a change request to the PBX if the first attempt fails for some reason.

 

Default is 3 retries (for a total of four attempts).

IP Office Server Edition

Check this box if you are using an Avaya IP Office Server Edition.

Driver Installed

Displays the version number of the installed driver, or None if no driver has been installed.

 

If you need to install the driver, click the Install button.  This will launch the IP Office Driver Install Setup Wizard which will guide you through the steps to install the driver.
