Record greetings

This flowchart provides an overview of how to record (or re-record) the name and personal greeting for a group mailbox.

Record Greeting

This greeting will be played when you call into the mailbox to leave a message that will be sent to the members of the associated group list.

When you press 1 to record the greeting, the system will prompt you to record after the tone and to press # when you are finished.  When you press #, the system will ask you to press 1 to accept the recording or press 2 to delete and re-record it.  If you press * to return to the previous menu, the recording will be thrown out and whatever greeting was in use to begin with will remain in effect.

Record Name

The name recording is used primarily for the spell-by-name directory.

When you press 2 to record your name, you will be prompted to begin recording after the tone and to press # when you are finished.  When you press #, the system will ask you to press 1 to accept the recording or press 2 to delete and re-record it.  If you press * to return to the previous menu, the recording will be thrown out and whatever name recording was in use to begin with will remain in effect.
