Forwarding wakeup data to the PMS

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The DV2000/DV4 provides a full-featured wakeup call service, including the ability for wakeup calls to be scheduled (and canceled) by the guest over the phone as well as by the administrator, either over the phone or using the web-application InnDesk.  Some PMS protocols also allow the PMS to set wakeup calls and receive notification of wakeup results; they may also allow the VMS to send wakeup schedule and cancel requests to the PMS.

By default, the DV2000/DV4 only sends a wakeup result message to the PMS if the PMS was the one who scheduled the call in the first place.  However, if you want the PMS to know about all wakeup calls, even those scheduled by the guests over the phone or by an administrator using InnDesk, you can enable this setting.  The VMS will then send wakeup schedule and wakeup cancel messages to the PMS for all wakeup calls scheduled (or canceled) by anyone other than the PMS, and will send wakeup result messages for all wakeup calls regardless of how they were scheduled.

To enable or disable forwarding of wakeup data to the PMS, follow these steps:
