Setup Wizard

The first time you run the system (or the first time you run your system after installing the software kit), it will automatically launch the Setup Wizard.  This wizard is designed to take you through the minimum steps required to get the system up and running so that it can answer calls.  You will not be allowed to run either Mailbox Administration or System Configuration until you have completed the wizard successfully.

 

Note:  You can always run the Setup Wizard again manually if you need to.  Since the Setup Wizard creates the default MWI codes for you based on your selected PBX, if you later need to change the PBX type, you may want to re-run the wizard to simplify the process.

You can access the wizard by opening File Explorer via Start | All Programs | Accessories | Windows Explorer (do not confuse this with Internet Explorer, they are not the same).  Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the C:\DUVOICE folder and look for SETUP.EXE.  Double-click on that file to launch the Setup Wizard.

 

The setup process differs slightly depending on whether your system is using SIP integration versus analog or digital integration:
