Configure the language codes |
|
Several PMS protocols support specifying a language selection for the guest room either at check in or in a separate room update message. However, the codes used to identify the languages varies from protocol to protocol. Consequently, the DV2000/DV4 requires you to enter the PMS language code for each language that is installed and activated on the system.
Note: Not all protocols support all the languages available on the DV2000/DV4, at least not by default. You may need to consult your PMS vendor as to if and how you can configure language codes on the PMS. Then configure the DV2000/DV4 to match.
To configure the language codes, follow these steps:
1. Using Activity Monitor, stop the voice mail service.
2. Run the System Configuration application and select Features | Hospitality.
3. If prompted, select the PMS instance (as shown below). This dialog is only displayed if you are licensed for more than one PMS instance. Otherwise, skip to step 4.
4. Select the Language property page (located under PMS in the tree view on the left).
