Configure the operator auto-transfer settings

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

When the VMS calls the operator for a failed wakeup notification or for a wakeup call reminder, it will either hang up after playing the message or it will auto-transfer to the guest's extension, depending on the configuration of these two settings.

To configure auto-transfer settings, follow these steps:

1.  Run the Mailbox Administration application and select Templates | Class of Service. It is not necessary to stop the voice mail service.

3.  Select the Operator property page (a sub-page of Wakeup Calls).

4. Check the After failed wakeup notification box to have the system transfer to the guest extension after playing the failed wakeup notification message to the operator. Only relevant if failed wakeup notification template has been assigned to the guest's mailbox (as it is by default).
5. Check the After pending wakeup reminder box to have the system transfer to the guest extension after notifying the operator that a wakeup is due for that guest. Only relevant if the COS for the guest is configured so the wakeup notification calls the operator not the guest.
6. Click Save to save your changes and close the dialog.
7. If you are finished with Mailbox Administration, you may close it now.
