Supported Room Functions

The DV2000/DV4 supports a number of different functions that can be performed on room mailboxes or extensions.  It also provides multiple ways to perform these functions.

 

Some can be initiated by the PMS, some can be performed manually using the InnDesk web application, some can be performed by dialing a special code from the room phone, and some can be performed using the hospitality administration menu via touch tone.  Not all functions can be performed in all of those ways, however.

 

In brief, the supported functions include:

Check In

Check in a guest.  May include setting the name, language, password and/or group affiliation.

Check Out

Check out a guest.

Move

Move a guest to a different room.

Change Language

Assign a language selection to the guest room.

Change Name

Change the guest subscriber name.

Change Password

Change the room mailbox password.

Change Phone COS

Change the phone class of service or restriction level.

Set Maid Status

Set the room clean status for a guest room.

Set Text Message Count

Set or clear the text message count.

Set VIP Flag

Set or clear the VIP flag for a guest room, which may be used in determining how wakeup calls are processed.

Set Wakeup Call

Schedule a wakeup call for a guest room.

Cancel Wakeup Call

Cancel a scheduled wakeup call for a guest room.

Get Message Count

Request the count of new messages for a guest mailbox.

Purge

Purge messages from a room mailbox without checking it out.

Review Archived Messages

Access a guest's messages after check out, as long as the messages are still available.

Send Message to All Guests

Send a message to all checked-in guest mailboxes.
